home sweet rental, part 5: breakfast bar/kitchen

so, the kitchen and breakfast nook area was quite interesting when we moved in. it was painted bright yellow and a bright salmon pink... it was, um, very bright. oh yeah!!!!!!

 so we decided to paint the whole thing the same behr blue, tidal pool, as the living room. that definitely helped us start out on the right foot. after a lot of cleaning, we decided to keep things simple and uncluttered... i am in love with our bar table mostly because i love our bar stools and yes, we are missing one. still haven't purchased it yet. lol. soon. i like that the space is conducive to entertaining, very open and bright. the light fixtures aren't really my style, but alas i will save all of that for when i actually own a home.

 yes, my husband is a genius. we cleaned out fave liquor bottles and added spouts and hooray, oil dispensers!!! i know, you wish you thought of it!

 i love my knives. ah-mazing. i think global kicks all the other brands in the ass. i can't wait to acquire more.
